Grill Safety Tips

    Allow charcoal to burn out before removing from grill to avoid a possible fire

    Be sure to clean your grill of ash and burnt food

    Remove ash only after charcoal is burned out and all ashes have been completely cooked. Closing your grill lid and vents after cooking helps speed along this process

    Prevent foods from sticking to the cooking grate by coating some vegetable oil on a cold cooking grate with a paper towel

    Be sure to cover grill after use to avoid rusting

    Never leave grill unattended while in use

    Be sure that grill is on level ground, away from nearby buildings and overhanging trees

    When using charcoal lighter, be sure to replace cap tightly after use

    When using charcoal lighter, be sure to set container away from grill then light immediately

    Never use a charcoal grill inside a house, tent or camper, as the burning charcoal will produce dangerous carbon monoxide.

    Do not pour lighter fluid on burning briquets

    For best results, store charcoal bag in a cool, dry place
